Hello,

My name is Layne Johnson. I am an independent design engineering consultant. . My expertise is in the 3D design and drafting using SolidWorks. It can make the design process especially efficient for many different applications from the intricacies of small medical devices to the larger design projects such as electric vehicles and sub-sea submersibles. 

I can help most anyone escalate their innovative ideas from most any form to create 3D solid models from which can be manufactured prototypes or create drawings or bring them through production runs. I specialize in machined parts of a wide variety of materials but can create simple molds for plastic injection molded parts as well.

I have created lots of things from these 3D solid models; drawings, first and foremost, but I also can perform structural analysis (FEA) on both components and assemblies to determine if they are strong enough, create assemblies for kinematic evaluation, create magazine quality images (renderings) for marketing departments or even mechanical video animations of assemblies in motion (AVI's or MP3's).
